[pann] Pledis rebuttal post

[+964, -346]
+) Because I saw in the comments that the fans of other trainees mentioned in this post were upset, I’m adding on.
Really till the end I wanted to not bring out the data of other trainees, but you guys saw how much the Pledis kids were cursed at today, and if I didn’t bring out those evidences the hate commenters will hate on and curse them as if NU’EST were the only ones who promoted before…. Really as a fan I couldn’t just stay and watch that. However my bringing other trainees’ data is definitely! not meaning ‘let’s die together’ or ‘curse at them too’, so please do not feel too upset regarding that
* Honestly you guys who are hating on Pledises like crazy, your hate posts are not worth refuting, and even if they’re refuted you’re going to continue hating on Pledises anyway so I wasn’t going to write a post but if I don’t write this Pledises will probably be buried under and watered down so I’m bring a rebuttal post

1. They don’t match the purpose of the program?
(translated here)

2. Kids who’ve debuted are 1/3 of the Produce participants, why are you only grabbing NU’EST’s hairs?
Like what you guys said, the new trainees are only looking at “debut” and coming out on the show, but then there are this much kids who have “debuted”, so why are you only hating on NU’EST?

3. Came out on Produce without disbanding?
The contract between Pledis and NU’EST doesn’t even have 2 years left, although formally it’s not a disbandment but realistically isn’t it the same thing? There’s not guarantee that the kids will renew with Pledis.
And also is confirming disbandment that important? Don’t you know just by seeing DIA in season 1? They said they disbanded but once she became I.O.I she went back to DIA and had a comeback. It’s just ‘disbandment’ in words, it’s not important at all, it’s just words to cover your eyes. Also amongst all the debuted groups I searched TopDogg and Hotshot only and they too have not disbanded the group officially? It says they are currently promotive. They will definitely go back to their own groups and promote,,
+) I’m saying this beforehand, I’m not trying to grab at the hair of other trainees. If I want to refute, I have no choice but to use them as examples. I can’t just sit and watch without refuting what the Pledis kids are being hated on for. If I don’t bring these evidences, you guys will keep treating only the Pledis kids like superstars who’ve promoted a lot.
(OP provides screencaps of the search in the original post)

4. While promoting for 6 years, they’ve enjoyed all there is to enjoy?
Pledis’ mistreatment of NU’EST  http://pann.nate.com/talk/336921211
What you do mean by enjoy, is promoting everything? When no one gave them any interest?
Also as expected, only NU’EST’s hairs and being grabbed at for having promoted yup yup

NU’EST aren’t the only ones with V app
efe     dfd

NU’EST are also not the only ones who have appeared on variety shows
TopDogg participated in Dream Concert 2015 + TopDogg solo concert in 2014 + Solo reality show in 2015 called TopDogg Project + have had fansigns
Offroad have also had a solo broadcast called Offroad’s Expedition in 2013
If you search more there’ll definitely be other groups too

NU’EST aren’t the only ones who’ve participated in ISAC

NU’EST are of course not the only ones who’ve stood on stage

5. Now I’ll talk specifically about ‘NU’EST kids’ activities’
(translated here)

6. They have a company to return to? They can comeback as NU’EST?
How can you guys be sure? Pledis is a company who neglected even Orange Caramel who were doing well. How can you trust Pledis? Also they have less than 2 years left on their contract, do you think they’ll give perks or a cool comeback.
Also why only Pledis must withdraw and have a comeback by themselves? In that case they just ask all the companies whose kids who are popular now to withdraw and make a group within themselves. If they debut with their current fandom they’ll probably do better than NU’EST??

7. A 6 year old group coming out is stealing the opportunities of other trainees, is unfair?
Honestly before the broadcast, were there even people who have heard of the group Nu’est at least once? It was also the first time for me to know of such a group..  They are a group who even during their fansigns where the capacity was 100 people, only 85 people applied so they are kids who did the fansign with only 85 people, a group that was that poor off. This means that there isn’t even a fanbase to gather votes for them to start with yup yup
Unfair is something you say if the kids had popularity in the beginning, or if they had a lot of fans. But it’s not either of them right? The votes are all earned by them on their own.
<<<Most important thing>>>>
The fact that 3 of them are in the top 11? It’s a result they earned completely on their own. The fact that they were NU’EST has n.o. influence at all on their votes.
Even up to the 1st and 2nd episodes, there were only curses for them, but after their kind and skilled appearances were broadcasted, lots of people entered the fandom. What I’m saying is that their fanbase became stronger completely because of their hard work, definitely not that it’s their old fans! 3 of them entering top 11 is a result they earned themselves, there’s no reason that it shouldn’t be allowed nor is it unfair

8. The other trainees are desperate for debut but the Pledis kids came on because they’re desperate for popularity?
Then does that mean the other kids just have to debut, it doesn’t matter even if they don’t have popularity? The kids that came onto Produce all came on to become popular. The Pledis kids are the same as the other trainees, there was no lower for them to go and nowhere for them to return to. You might as well say the other trainees who are in debut teams in their own companies had home, for NU’EST if they didn’t come on this it’s just the end.

9. 1st place Kim Jonghyun’s votes 2.8 million / Choi Minki 1.1 million, a difference of more than two times
Proves how many individual pans Pledis has. It means that there are definitely lots more people who entered the fandom completely after watching Produce.

If it’s according to your words, NU’EST shouldn’t have came onto a program like this at all but rather for the remaining 2 years of their contract, pass their time by promoting overseas and in Korea where they don’t receive any attention, and then disband without any sound? Is that what you’re saying? Who’s throwing the stone to kids who are staring a new challenge. By your logic, students who repeat years shouldn’t be allowed to take the SATs again. They were given one chance and since they failed, they should give that chance to the current students. Also if the fact that they’ve debuted is unfair, then the other trainees who’ve already debuted, and Produce Season 1’s DIA etc. should also have dropped out from the show, why are you only doing this to NU’EST.

You can think of it in the opposite way. They are kids who have reached the floor, they’ve probably already tasted all the bitter tastes and dirty tastes of the entertainment industry. The fresh new kids who haven’t debuted before? Of course, there’s no way there are no desperate people. But why are you guys ignoring NU’EST’s desperation like their desperation is nothing much with the reason that everyone else is desperate? Just because it’s them, do you think returning to the identity of a trainee was nothing to them? There are so many people cursing, pitying, ignoring the kids as they please. I think that they’ve already received as many curses as they could’ve, in that case isn’t in fair? It’s really really selfish? It’s really funny, they are all kids who receive votes fairly and rose up, even if they originally had fans, how many fans were there even, not even enough to manipulate the results. Please just leave them alone. So what if they’ve promoted for six years. Do you think the other trainees are waiting for the day they can grab their debut with their hands because they want to go through 6 years of having no results at all, having no one who knew them, frustratingly living as unknown celebrities like NU’EST? Even though their lives were so dark they couldn’t see in front of them, it’s enough that they’ve debuted before, is that it? NU’EST said they want to be popular like SEVENTEEN who debuted a long time after them, of course they would have that kind of ambition, why are you being like this to kids who are now trying to live. Anyway if you really dislike them that much then vote harder… Fighting
Because 3 of the Pledis kids are in top 11, now people are treating them as superstars and telling them to drop out, but there’s no reason to drop out, nor will they drop out.

Although I’m doubting whether the haters will read this long post, if there’s anything else to add I’ll keep adding.

  1. [+257, -38] The haters always disappear when it’s these posts?? Later they’ll appear again with copies of the same post from yesterday and the day before and ask for explanations??
  2. [+227, -32] Thanks so much for writing posts like these, OP. Whether or not the hate commenters read this, I thought there should be at least one of such posts. There are a lot of people other than haters who think the Pledis kids coming out on Produce is unfair, but I hope at least those people will read this post and look at the kids will even a little more relaxed gaze ㅎㅎ
